Mobile data will generate all mobile revenue growth in the coming future, doubling
in value over the next five years to be worth $50bn says communications research
firm Yankee Group.
Global data revenue from services such as music, games and messaging is expected to
triple to account for 25% of all service revenue by 2007, claims the report.
Further research from Yankee Group also reveals that more than a quarter of the world's
population will own a mobile phone by 2007.
Wireless and mobile services will reach 27.4% of the global population over the next
three years equating to 1.78bn people.
